More from the Mountains

Dawn in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Yellow trillium, a wildflower

...and I found this little guy in a quiet puddle near a stream. I also saw lots of tadpoles--spring means babies!

So nice to see your images of wildflowers. I was at Smithgall Woods in May, attended a seminar by naturalist Debra H. Davis, who afterwards took the class on a walk, which gave me an opportunity to see a gorgeous patch of Pink Lady's Slippers and write about it for the Georgia Asian Times.
