Autumn butterflies


It's hard to believe it's already mid-November here, because we've only had one light frost so far. Until the drought got them, my tithonias just kept blooming, and they've been real butterfly beacons. One day there were so many butterflies, they were practically bumping into each other.

This little guy looks like he has translucent wings, but it's just the effect of his movement when I snapped the picture.

I'm about to doing some flying of my own, to Indiana, for an interview about my book, Mustard Seeds. It's for a morning television show called Harvest TV. The program airs on DirecTV on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
